Grand Prix Sunday: Slow Down at YU SAUNA
Sunday 22 Nov is Macau Grand Prix finals day. Home on Monday? YU SAUNA in NAPE is open 24 hours: the hinoki sauna first, then an hour at her pace.
The four days of the Macau Grand Prix, from Thursday’s practice to Sunday’s finals, are all about who is fastest. If your trip home is on Monday, the evening after the finals is still free. It suits something slow: an evening at YU SAUNA, starting with a while in the sauna and then an hour with a therapist.
Sunday night, starting in the hinoki sauna
This year’s Grand Prix is the 73rd, and Sunday 22 November is its last day, with the FR World Cup, the GT World Cup and other finals all held that day. YU SAUNA is in NAPE, Macau, on the 4th floor of the New Orient Landmark Hotel, and it is open 24 hours. Alongside the hot pool hall you will find a glass steam room and a dry sauna built from Japanese hinoki, so you can sit in the heat or soak for a while before you meet the therapists. The therapists keep their own shift, from 13:00 to 06:00 the next morning, and they are in on Sunday night too.
Ask for the Signature package, and the manager brings the therapists
There are three package levels: Essential, Signature and Royal. After four days of racing, you probably do not want to spend the last night weighing up a menu, so just ask the manager for the Signature package. The manager then brings the therapists on shift to you and introduces them one by one. Take your time with each of them, then tell the manager which one you have chosen.
Her pace, for the whole hour
At YU SAUNA the hour is spent one to one in a massage room of your own, and that room has its own bathtub, so you can wash before and after without leaving it. For four days every lap out on the circuit was timed. In here nobody is timing laps: which parts go a little quicker and which she takes slowly is her call. The finals are over, and the real closing act of the weekend is this hour. It is just you and her in the room, and guests tell us YU SAUNA’s hour is worth saving for last.
After the hour, two more on a recliner
When you leave the room, a different masseuse gives you two add-on services on a recliner in the lounge. You pick any two from a list of eight once you are on the recliner.
Two questions people ask on their last night
- Can I still book if I only decide on Sunday evening? Yes. There is no cut-off on our side. A day’s notice makes things easier, but deciding that evening is fine too.
- What is added to the price? As of October 2026, a 10% service charge is added to everything. Package prices are on the price page, and the details can be checked when you book. Prices follow the actual menu and may vary by item, duration and time of day. Ask our team for the latest quote when you book.
Booking and the car
Book through us and a private car picks you up free of charge wherever you are staying in Macau, with the ride back arranged in advance. The two add-on services on the recliner are free as well, but only for guests who book through us. If you would like to try a Macau sauna on the last night of the Grand Prix, send us the date, the number of guests, where you are staying and the package you want through the contact page. The consultation is free. You spent four days watching other people race to be fastest, and on Sunday night it is your turn to slow down.
